The Expert Affiliate Marketing Model: Now We’re Getting Somewhere!
So you’ve been following this series on the different affiliate marketing models, and after seeing “The Anonymous“ Model, and the “One Niche Model“ being somewhat downplayed in terms of a secure business, you’ve probably been wondering just what is a great model to get into?
Welcome to the world of the elusive expert affiliate, or as they’ve otherwise become known as…the super affiliate.
Now this type of niche marketing is a whole other beast. While one step down from the
entrepreneur affiliate, this is who you want to be when selling affiliate products!
In the case of the model being presented here though, we’ll use the term “super affiliate”
rather loosely. The reason being is that there are many out there that do earn what could be
considered super affiliate profits, but they’re still using one of the earlier models discussed
which aren’t that secure.
(meaning – the bottom could fall out of their business at any given moment…not smart..)
So we’ll stick to the term “expert affiliate” for this reason.
Clearing Up Your Affiliate Marketing Model Concerns
If you’ve been wondering if the affiliate marketing model you’ve been following in your own niche marketing business is built to last, then by switching to the expert affiliate model as soon as you can, should clear up your concerns.
When you are using this model, your business virtually becomes immune to economic downturns, Panda type slaps, or any of the other disastrous events that can level a business in no time flat.
Personally, it makes me wonder sometimes why I ever bothered messing around with other models at all for far to long. In hindsight, if I knew then, what I do now, I certainly wouldn’t have bothered. The wisest choice when selling as an affiliate would be to focus in on this method, and this method alone.
The Characteristics And Business Model Of The Expert Affiliate
First and foremost, one main thing that separates a person operating as an expert affiliate

Expert Affiliate - Strong Building Blocks For Long Term Results
from people in other models is that he/she are willing to do what many others or lazy
marketers aren’t usually willing to do.
They understand the importance of having a strong structure and why they are putting together the necessary building blocks for the greatest chance of success from the start.
The expert affiliate will take the time to do their utmost in learning their particular niches extremely well.
Also, they always come from a thought pattern of always delivering some real value first. They DO take the time to build an email list around the market, and continually strive to build a strong relationship with their customers and prospects.
Here’s a list of typical expert affiliate practices or traits:
- finding a crowd of people looking for solutions to a desperate problem before choosing a
product to promote
- performing intense research to learn how to cater to this group of people in the best way,
holding THEIR best interests at heart
- making sure it’s in a market where there are plenty of back end and additional products.
(This way, they are able to market to them at later dates addressing the future needs of
their customers)
- expert affiliates operate in narrow tightly focused niches
(I.E. – confidence building for single mothers 40+)
- they take the time to create a customer profile of “who” they want their “ideal customer” to be
- provide value before ever asking for anything in return
- get their crowd on an email list to foster, nurture, and build a beneficial, rewarding,
and trusting relationship with them
- in many cases the expert affiliate will only recommend products that he/she benefits from
themselves and will take the time necessary to educate, train, and provide value pertaining
to the products to his/her list members
- at times will even speak one on one with a customer or prospects, to educate, evaluate, or
alleviate any concerns they may be having
- the expert affiliate generally will come to know many of their customers on a first name
friendly basis
- will often offer true high value bonuses to their customers. These bonuses usually
have a real personal touch to them, are not found elsewhere, and are created specifically to
cater to his/her personal customers needs even more. Again..delivering high value!
- often make substantial high profits with very small lists (something most IM gurus can’t
claim). The expert affiliate often times has lists so tightly focused, has delivered so
much value, and has created such a great relationship with his/her members, huge lists are
not necessary.
- turn their customers and prospects into loyal raving fans
- have developed a very strong discipline for getting the things done in their business,
that need to be done (hint – not for the “lazy get rich quick, with no work” mentality
….that doesn’t exist or work anyhow)
The PRO’S Of The “Expert Affiliate” Marketing Model
- repeat sells to long term customers
- a business that is built to last for many years
- loyal customers who love hearing from you
- repeat and “on demand” traffic (remember – list building)
- a great relationship with prospects and customers
- big lists not necessarily required for large profits
- the gift of providing exceptional value and helping people find real solutions to a problem
- a genuine “long term” asset for the future
The CON’S Of The “Expert Affiliate” Marketing Model
If you can call these cons? Personally, these are great skills you’ll want to acquire!
- requires quite a lot of up front research and preparation
- requires having a deep understanding of your followers needs
- requires strong relationship building skills (can be learned here)
- requires “smart” strategy and implementation
- requires motivating through modesty
- requires a mindset of always putting your customers first
- requires focusing on delivering value at all times
- requires much testing, tweaking, and perfecting to connect with your audience
- requires persuading by demostrating value, not using hype or BS
- requires doing everything for the betterment of your followers
Does The *Expert Affiliate* Model Work?
Yes!
Out of all of the affiliate marketing model’s we’ve covered so far, this is by far the most
highly recommended.
With this affiliate model, we are always providing value up front (before anything else – earning trust) from the get-go, attaining their email address, putting their needs first, and always working to re-inforce a strong relationship with your prospects and customers.
Also, by making sure we are in niches where we provide solutions to problems both initially, and into the future, this is a strong affiliate business model that is made to last for a very long time.
If more people were taught this valuable affiliate marketing model from the start of their online business, it could save them years of trial and error.
It could also save them the frustration of having the bottom of their business literally “fall out” from beneath them at any given moment, and benefit them by building a strong business from the start.
All in all, the expert affiliate marketing model is excellent.
Did I mention I love comments?
I really do..any questions or comments, I’m here:-)
*Be Excellent* – Davin

Great series of posts. I think the previous models you discussed have their place for people new to marketing or internet marketing, especially if they have no prior knowledge of sales and marketing. They give people a way to earn a bit as they learn…although this is getting harder now.
Certainly this model is superior but there are many nuances to this approach that take time and experience to hone before you can see the woods from the trees so to speak. This is why it isn’t always attractive to people new to IM. Plus, it’s probably harder to teach so there isn’t as much information out there to begin with.
I am heading down this route after being heavily involved in the first two models….I can’t stand the uncertainty and I feel I know enough now to pull this model off.
Thanx for the kind words Ade.
I’m glad to hear you are heading down this trail now. Indeed, it does take a while for some people to realize the pitfalls of some models.
Myself included. With Google slaps, hosting horrors, and a few other catastrophes that can level things..eventually one starts to realize the importance of this type of model. I learned the hard way in many respects there:-)
And like you said, it also takes time to know the nuances and honed skills necessary for this model to be effectively implemented.
As with anything in life worth doing, internet marketing really is a journey. It’s got it’s ups, downs..and curve balls here and there!
Best of luck to you in the future Ade, and thanx for taking the time to comment.
