Niche Marketing Business: Sniff Out Bullshit, Love Yourself, And Earn More

Hmm…niche marketing business bullshit…

Have you ever wondered why it is, that when a certain new medium on the Internet starts to take Niche Marketing - Smells Like Bullshit off, by the same time next week all of a sudden there’s say 5 to 10 new products either from gurus or a new face, all claiming they’re the new expert of this radical new medium?

I mean “Hey, let’s look at Facebook.”

Once Facebook began to take off, all of a sudden there must have been 50 new Facebook experts in the span of a month. Weird huh?

Ya wanna know why? Because, half the time it’s bullshit, that’s why…

Did you know, that often times some marketers will announce a new product launch, before
they’ve even began to create the product? On top of that, often times, the marketer didn’t
have a damn thing to do with the creation of “their” product.

No, it was all outsourced. Next, it was nicely bundled up with enticing hot graphics, and
they’ve slapped their name on it. “Fricken eh! My new product!”

He’s thinking to himself, “I wonder if this actually works? Hmm, well it looks pretty damn
good anyway. Let’s get selling it..there’s money to be made here..”

Can you hear the intense Skype convos and the phones ringing, the minute it looks like
something new is going to take off.

“Mike, Mike…crap man…we gotta..we gotta…put together a Facebook product man! It’ll
be HUGE. We’ll sell a crapload of them!”

Niche Marketing: Your Affiliate Marketing Model – Part 1

Today, we are going to begin to dive into the different types of affiliate marketing models to help you discover which type of marketer you’d like to be for your prospects and customers in your niche marketing business..

There are Pro’s and Con’s to each model. Obviously some are FAR BETTER than others, and it’s extremely beneficial to know what you are shooting for in your niche marketing business.

Niche Marketing Model #1 – The Anonymous Affiliate

The anonymous affiliate model is what most newbie courses teach. However, there are even some
higher end courses that cover it as well.

Niche Marketing - Anonymous Affiliate ModelThis type of affiliate marketing basically has the affiliate picking a product, or several,
where there is demand and either driving traffic directly to the merchant’s site, or creating a site where the products are discussed and presented for purchase.

There is usually not any other type of communication between the site owner or the prospect.

Sometimes, the affiliate will create a “pen name”, and a short little bio page, but that’s about it. They don’t collect email addresses, or attempt to build any real rapport or connection with the prospect other than try to get them to purchase the products.

Niche marketing sites frequently using this model:

Amazon Affiliate Sites
Multi Product Physical Product Sites
Review Sites – No List Building Involved

Common ways of driving traffic:

PPC
Forum Posting
Articles
CPV
SEO

The PRO’S Of This Niche Marketing And Affiliate Model

- you can remain pretty much unknown to your prospects and customers
- no need to provide support

The CON’S Of This Niche Marketing And Affiliate Model

- Since you’re attempting to remain anonymous, it’s very difficult to get prospects
to Know, Like, and Trust you

- Since you aren’t collecting email addresses or attempting to build any type of
“real” relationship, the traffic you do get will most likely never return to
your site again

- Having only a “single instance of contact”, conversions are generally quite low

Does This Niche Marketing Strategy And Affiliate Model Work?

Sure..you can make some money and sales this way. Using this model is how I had my first
$1400 day online. But, profits such as that are very few and far between.

Morover, out of all of the affiliate marketing models we’ll be looking at this is the least
recommended.

Also, since this is the model that most affiliate marketing courses teach, it’s not a surprise
to me as to why so many people struggle for so long to make any type of steady income from
their niche marketing efforts.

While I do have a few existing sites implementing this model, I’ll be abandoning the practice
in 2012 and moving forward. There’s just not enough security in this type of affiliate model.
